Europe In and Out: Towards a 3D History of Religions

The dismantling of the Abrahamic family of religions emerged among European Orientalists and historians of religion, from Romanticism to the late 19th century. I shall ask here how a recognition of the role played by Judaism and Islam in European history, and the status of both religions in European Christianity, might open new vistas for the history of religion, not only in Europe.
